Widget styling text
on: December 22, 2011, 17:24

Purchased createef last night :) , I have been editing the theme options and I am caught in a snag with the widget styling text. I can change the size and font , however after entering many different hex color #'s the color will not change from default. I am a novice , my guess is the problem would be in the code(?). Appreciate any help.

be sure to include a hex code with the # prefix , e.g. #dddddd , or use the color picker to choose the color code

Hi Roman, I have tried #prefix and color picker. The text color does not change. It is strange(?). Not quite sure why the color is not changing under widget text. All the other styling texts i.e. posting , header, navigation ..., all function . Any other suggestions?

Hi Roman,
I just discovered something using the createef T4P widgets and wordpess default widgets i.e. catergories , meta, text widgets... I can change the color, size and font in your T4P widgets, however I can only change the size and font in wordpress default widgets, but not able to change the color of text. Any help appreciated.

I have tried it myself and it works without a problem. Please provide me the URI with the problem

HI Roman,
I am using wordpress 3.3. The URI http://www.apparatusofsecrecy.com/. The widget text is set to 13px, new times roman, normal, #00000. The color #00000 shows up in the subscribe and connect widget, but not wordpress text widgets.

the color is changed only for text, not for <a> attributes. I hope I am getting what you mean...

I do have basic understanding of the <a> attributes. I have <a> attributes in the widget labeled Resistance. Are there <a> attributes in the Meta and categories widget as well?
Can the default color for widget <a> attributes be changed by adding code into the custom css? Can you point me in the right direction and provide the code to add to the custom css. By the way, the support you have provided has been exceptional and I definitely will direct interested parties in wordpress themes to theme4press.

you may change the <a> link attributes in General Settings under Custom CSS field, and try to paste there e.g.

.widget ul li a {color:red;}
