For either the evolve or alora themes, you will need to set up a page where your blog can be accessed.

Create a blank page, name it “Blog” (or whatever you like), and then go to Settings > Reading > and set that page as your “Posts page.”

Overall Layout

In order to set up the overall layout of your blog section, go to Theme Options > Layout, and you will have several options there.

For example, you can decide what types of sidebars you want (or whether you don’t want any sidebars at all).

The layout selected above produces the following look with one right-side sidebar on a single blog post.

More Specific Control

For more specific control over the look of your blog, go to Theme Options > Blog, and you will find three sections there: General, Posts, and Featured Image.

In the General section, you can control the look of your blog posts on archive pages (and your main blog feed).

For example, you can choose to use a grid system if you like, as selected below.

In the Featured image section, you have the ability to show your featured image automatically at the top of your single blog post or not.
