(NOTE: You can access all the shortcodes via the shortcodes icon on your visual editor. See this document if you need more information.)

A dropcap is a larger than normal first letter, as in the example below.

Here's an example of one. Lorem ipsum cubilia curabitur aenean ultricies maecenas, platea ultricies fusce ante mollis himenaeos sodales, venenatis sed consequat fringilla aliquam. phasellus enim porttitor etiam lacus fringilla tempor commodo lectus curabitur, enim quis purus porta aliquam lacinia praesent malesuada mollis, vivamus aliquet pellentesque placerat risus felis eget imperdiet.

When you get to the shortcode settings, insert the letter you want to use as your dropcap, and then choose any other settings you want such as color and background.

Here is an example of a dropcap shortcode.

Here are the possible properties:

  • color = hex code #000000, or color name black or rgba values like rgba(0,0,0,0.4)
  • boxed = yes or no; if you want your dropcap to have a colored background with a white letter
  • boxed_radius = pixel like 8px; determines how rounded the corners are of your boxed background if you have one
