It appears your theme Evolve+ has the annoying habit of hiding the active category underneath posts. Checked with several other themes and there all categories remain visible on all pages.

An example: On the front page I have a post with categories shown, say Category 1, Category 2, Category 3. If I would click Category 2 a new archive page would be opened listing all posts that are in the Category 2. But on that page if I look at the post now the listing is Category 1, Category 3. So the active category Category 2 is no longer listed with the post.

Again I compared with several other themes but the Evolve+ theme does this consistently and is unwanted behavior. I want to have categories shown at all times on all pages, as is just normal it seems.

I mailed you earlier with other problems concerning the hierarchy in the breadcrumbs but have decided to just disable the functionality within the Evolve+ theme and fixed this with a plugin.

Can you provide me with a corrected code to solve this and an indication where to place it.

    Thanks in advance!

Thank you Priyank, it works really well!

Happy to know I can now fully focus on continuing with the Evolve theme now this problem is solved.

Will the next update of the theme have this built in standard, or should I keep copies of the files you mention?

What I mean is, this temporary ‘customization’, will it continue to work with a theme update?

    Thank you.

    Hi,

Before theme update check changelog file of theme, if consider this point in this file then it continues to work with a theme update.

And We try to solve your all bugs in next theme update.

    Thank you

I think you cannot just refer me to a changelog file. Anyway I do not accept that standard answer.

Yes, I understand the function of a changelog and that this would normally in general be the answer, but since you have made a customization in the functioning of the theme, not the css style and admitted it to be a fault I expect this to be a theme update. It’s a fundamental change. Also, again, it is the minimum requirement for me and the reason for buying your theme. So, yes now it is fixed, but if with the next update it might stop working then I still do not have a guarantee the Premium theme is to my satisfaction.

You answered that you would correct the error and if it was not possible you would provide me with a refund. You have corrected the problem, thank you for that, it works really well, but what good is it to me (and others) if you do not implement the custom changes in the next general theme update?

Also you answered this earlier: “We found issue in theme and solve this also, it will available in next theme update. If you want solution of this issue, provide us your site admin details in private reply, our development team update in theme for you.”
