    Matt Smith

I am using a static page as my homepage in the Evolve theme and I would like to add the revolution slider as the main slider on my homepage. I read in the documentation

From the theme html use: <?php putRevSlider( “alias” ) ?>
    example: <?php putRevSlider(“slider1”) ?>
For show only on homepage use: <?php putRevSlider(“slider1″,”homepage”) ?>

The issue I am having is knowing where to put this….Does it go into my style.css? evolve.php? Can anyone help me out with this? Looks like this question was asked before but no one answered! Thanks!

I would suggest just edit the page which you set as a homepage, and then you can set there the Revolution slider as it’s described in our docs https://theme4press.com/evolve-documentation/setting-sliders/ . there is no need to insert any shortcodes for the front page or modifying the core files.
