It could probably be a plugin conflict or cache issue.
Please clear cache plugin’s cache content ( if you are using one ) and keep it disabled.
Proceed to disable one plugin at a time to find out which plugin is causing issue.
The following is a screen-cast I made while testing it on my localhost.
It’s working properly. There is no issue with slider in header with boxed layout.

Please copy them and save in a text file.
Temporary remove them and see if it fixes your issue.

I do not have any CSS on that site.
I deactivated all the plugins without success.
I also re-checked my parameters following your screen cast and everything is OK.
I noticed that the pages is showing as it should in the Customize viewer, but not on the site itself, if that may help. (of course, I cleared my browser cache several times)
Another thing: I used your demo site and modified it by just changing the slides pictures (did not even rename the slides)

Version 2.7.8 is available now, Please update.
Please clear cache plugin’s cache content and browser history after theme update.
So as to eliminate weird layout cause by cache issue.
If you are still having issue with your slider, Please provide WordPress login access details in Private reply.

Are we making any progress ?
You did not send me an email address that I could use to create an admin user for you. Do you still need this access?

I tried my best.
Can only get the slider to center.
I did some setup tests.
I am unable to get it to work in default position.
The theme4press slider always stays at top and the slider controls does not work.
I will ask my employer to get his developer to take a look at this issue.

All I did was to disable the parallax effect in the slider setting.
Yes, you can try out the Elastic Slider.
Switching slider will not change the slider setting.

is this issue fixed? please update usGérald LechaultParticipantMay 11, 2016 at 9:51 amPost count: 19Been thanked: 0 times
Denzel found a temporary way around the problem, which is OK but not normal.
He might have asked for a development to solve the issue but it has not been done so far: a boxed slider with parallax effect still does not work.
