    My site seems to take longer than usual to load due to the javascript and css elements that are being loaded. I know I’m probably not using any or many of them.
    How can they be removed or tidied up?
    This is for the evolve+ theme

    Regards

    Waqar

    My home page has 21 blocking script resources and 14 blocking CSS resources.
    This causes a delay in rendering your page.

    Hi,

    This requires modifications to the theme code.
    We do not provide assistance in modifying theme codes.
    We can only provide customization that can be done using custom css.

    You may want to hire a developer from http://jobs.wordpress.net/ to assist in your customization.

    Or you can find the js or css files, open them up and remove whatever content that you do not need.

    Thank you

    Hi there Denzel,

    Appreciate the comments but I think the point of support is that you guys help us which is the reason people buy premium themes.
    Some guidance will be appreciated.
    My homepage currently is set to using a js and css concatenator using some WordPress Caching plugin but the source code looks ugly and it still doesn’t look nice.

    As far as i know, all I am using is the animate on the menu bar and the bootstrap loader for the home page.
    What possible solutions can you recommend to clean it up?
    Also – what is the admin-ajax.php script? What does it do as it seems to take a long time to run according to some sources that check site speed?
    Is it needed on a homepage?

    Here is the jss and css links for the homepage.

    Then further below the page, there is additional script – here is one example

    /* —————— PREV & NEXT BUTTON FOR FLEXSLIDER (YOUTUBE) —————— */
    jQuery(‘.flex-next, .flex-prev’).click(function() {
    playVideoAndPauseOthers(jQuery(this).parents(‘.flexslider, .t4ps-slider’));
    });
    function onPlayerStateChange(frame, slider) {
    return function(event) {
    if (event.data == YT.PlayerState.PLAYING) {
    jQuery(slider).flexslider(“pause”);
    }
    if (event.data == YT.PlayerState.PAUSED) {
    jQuery(slider).flexslider(“play”);
    }
    if (event.data == YT.PlayerState.BUFFERING) {
    jQuery(slider).flexslider(“pause”);
    }
    }
    }
    //
    //
    //
    // YouTube & Vimeo

    There is also one for FlexSlider, Prev/Next buttons for FlexSlider, Testimonials, Sticky Headers etc … All of which I’m sure I’ve disabled from the main evolve Customiser area.

    Surely, if its disabled in the Customiser area for the Theme in question – it shouldnt technically appear in your homepage – so why is it there ?

    Regards

    Hi,

    First of all

    Appreciate the comments but I think the point of support is that you guys help us which is the reason people buy premium themes.

    Yes, we help our customer to use our product. We answer all questions regarding use of our products. We did not advertise that we will help our customer to modify our product.

    Just like when you buy a car, it does not come with modifications, unless advertised.

    what is the admin-ajax.php script?

    It should be ….admin-ajax.php?action=evolve_dynamic_css
    That’s the dynamic css file. You cannot remove it.

    I would like to highlight to you again, We can only provide customization that can be done using custom css.

    If you need to modify any theme code, Please hire a developer from http://jobs.wordpress.net/ to assist in your customization.

    By the way, you can consider using a cache plugin to speed up you site, but your web hosting must have enough resources to run it, or your site will appear slower.

    Thank you.

    Thanks, Denzel,

    Let’s try another way as I’m not asking for dev work to be carried out nor am I asking for code to be amended.

    If a particular function from the theme is NOT used say for example; one of the sliders is there a way for that CSS and JS NOT to appear on the page that’s it’s defined for.

    Example – Elastic slider will potentially have its own CSS and JS for it to work
    If this is DISABLED from the theme options directly – how can we ensure that ITS NOT loaded on individual pages?
    Can you use the CUSTOM CSS to DISABLE this CSS and JSS from loading and hence speed up page load time.
    In my homepage, I am probably using about 3 functions – all the rest are disabled yet I have 21 CSS references. All I’m asking for is there a way that I can STOP the CSS and JSS from loading on the homepages.

    Reason is that in the event that you guys update your themes, I don’t wish to break anything hence I don’t want a developer. It should be a simple enough request.
    I’m not asking for elements to be moved or changes to certain elements. I’m asking for a disablement of the actual CSS and JS from being preloaded on the homepage.
    That’s all I want to know.

    Regards

    Waqar

    Hi,

    Let’s try another way as I’m not asking for dev work to be carried out nor am I asking for code to be amended.

    From this sentence, I understand that you are not asking us to do any development work for you and you are also not asking us to amend any code.

    Since, you do not require us to do development work or code amendment, I assume all that you have posted after that sentence is suggestions, which you would like us to know, but no need for amendments?

    Thank you for your suggestions.
    I will let my Employer know about this.

    Denzel,

    I don’t know what to say.
    I ask for help and then you take it as a suggestion for your employer.

    This is NOT what I call support / help / assistance.
