    I have switched to the alora theme but when i go to setup my homepage I receive this message:

    WordPress database error Table ‘np35698b.wp_layerslider’ doesn’t exist for query SELECT * FROM wp_layerslider
    WHERE flag_hidden = ‘0’ AND flag_deleted = ‘0’
    ORDER BY date_c ASC made by include(‘D:\inetpub\vhosts\mitchellfair.com\httpdocs\wp-admin\edit-form-advanced.php’), do_meta_boxes, call_user_func, PyreThemeFrameworkMetaboxes->page_options, include(‘D:\inetpub\vhosts\mitchellfair.com\httpdocs\wp-content\themes\alora\framework\views\metaboxes\page_options.php’)

    Any guidance to fix this would be appreciated greatly.

    Thank you and have a great day.

    Yes i am using 2.8.1. I thought about a plugin issue and deactivated everything but that did not work either.

    thanks

    Hi again,

    Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to replicate this problem in my testing environment, let alone finding anything suspicious in your WordPress installation yet, sorry.

    Can you please test this issue in a separate hosting server environment like local hosting or separate live server? In the meantime, I’ll dig deeper into this.

    Let me know how it goes!

    Hi there,

    Thanks for your reply.

    We have investigated your WordPress Dashboard and website thoroughly and noticed that you are using an outdated version of PHP (5.3) and MySQL (5.1) which are not compatible with the latest version of WordPress and the Theme & Plugin Files.

    Please ask your hosting company to update these resources to the following versions if possible.

    PHP 5.6 & MySQL 5.6

    I look forward to your reply to see if you are still experiencing any issues after these changes have been made.

    Cheers!

    I updated my php and mysql and was still experiencing the same issue. With a little bit of work with my hosting company we located the problem. This is what they said:

    Our engineers determined that the error was caused by line 717 of the file /wp-admin/edit-form-advanced.php, which is the following:

    ==================================
    do_meta_boxes(null, ‘advanced’, $post);
    ==================================

    It appears that the error is gone after this line is commented out. Please feel free to notify the maker of the theme “Alora” regarding this issue, as the issue is only limited to this theme (we have never encountered the same issue with any other WordPress websites we host).

    I have yet to encounter any problem from taking this line out. Please let me know if this effects anything on your end.

    Thank you for your time and effort and have a great day.

    Hi,

    /wp-admin/edit-form-advanced.php is a file in WordPress, Not a file in Alora Theme.
    You cannot comment out any code in WordPress.

    Please provide the following FTP access details in private reply.

    FTP server URL
    FTP username
    FTP password.

    I will login and investigate this issue for you.

    You do not have layerslider plugin, but the theme has codes looking for it’s database entry.
    This causes some web hosting to produce fatal error ( because it cannot find the table in database ) when you try to create or edit page..
    This could be what’s happening on your website.

    Thank you.
