Hello, I recently purchased evolve for my company and would like to know why my WooCommerce “Shop” page isn’t working. I know that you guys include some code that may interfere, but I would like to know 100% before I get on my high waters and start poking at the code. And in the case that someone wants to know, no, I didn’t backup before the occurrence happened.

    Hi,

Install and activate woocommerce plugin, then go to Theme Options -> General -> Import demo content.

Do the import, you will get the same setup as this page.
    http://demo.theme4press.com/evolve/shop/

    Work from the demo.

You will see some warnings about outdated template.
These will be updated in upcoming version.

    Thank you.

Thanks for your quick reply, but there is one problem: My current WooCommerce directory is full of items. I /REALLY/ do not want to reprogram every single item in my store as currently there are about 70-90 (including variables, so, no I can’t do an “export all” function, I already tried to contact Woo about that)

    Hi,

Did you follow the woocommerce setup procedure after you have installed and activated woocommerce plugin? The procedure will create all the pages needed.
If not, you will need to manually create a page and assign it as the shop page within woocommerce settings.

    Thank you

As I mentioned above, there is no need to recreate these pages, as I have already programed them on my main site, but used Duplicator to pull the data so I can work on my new layout. I think it’s a corrupt image of WooCommerce because every time I disable it (weather manually/FTP or through the plugin manager) it corrupts the site completely to the point that I get the error: “The testsite.ohioiproject.co.uk page isn’t working
testsite.ohioiproject.co.uk is currently unable to handle this request.”

I’ve checked in VMware and nothing is happening to conflict with the DNS and after I replace the folders (through FTP) or re-initialize the backup, the site works again. It’s weird and i have no idea how to fix it. I’ll post this question into the WordPress.org site and hope someone can help. If any of the team members can assist in the meantime, it would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Joseph

    Hi,

Maybe it’s your duplicator plugin doing it wrongly.

    Thank you

    Respectfully,

    I know this:

    • The duplicator program had no problems prior
    • After disabling all YITH plug-ins the problems were resolved, however I rely on them to make the site work
    • Unsure of which YITH plug-in was causing the corruption with your theme as it doesn’t happen with any other theme enabled
    • I have since switched to MarketPress eCommerce and have no problems with natural integration with the theme, evolve+

I would recommend speaking with the YITH team about potential problems with your themes and their code.

    Sincerely,
    Joseph
