    Hi,
    I am using the recent_posts shortcode on a page, with the “thumbnail-on-side” format. Is there a way to adjust the size of that thumbnail image? I changed thumbnail size in SETTINGS>MEDIA, with no change. Maybe there is an additional statement to add to the shortcode for image size?

    probably you will need to regenerate your thumbnails, try this plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/
