    I would like to edit the “written by” text on each post, and have it say, “compiled by” or “posted by”.

    It would be easier to just disable the post meta header placement, but when I do that it shortens the length of the title.

    Can anyone help with either of these?

    I would recommend to create a child theme as any theme code changes will be lost in the next theme update
