I don’t know why i was getting so many server errors, but let me explain, maybe this will help somebody else.

I have shared hosting on a linux server which is under the main website. I have registered more websites and built them all in wordpress using this theme. When I updated one of the subdomains there was at least a 20 minute lag where the site had 2 menus and sliders were broken and various other problems which finally cleared up on its own. So I felt safe updating the main site.

The main site took down the whole server after the upgrade. On the main site i had Wordfence activated, which i suspect has something to do with how it failed. I was unable to install new plug ins or update anything or see wordpress news, it was showing an error saying wordpress.org could not be reached. but after the 20 minutes went by, the main site and all the sub sites went down timing out and a blank screen.

I could see on my control panel that I was maxing out on resources, so i called my hosting company for help. they tried to upsell me saying i needed more resources. I hung up on them and dug deeper. I went to Softaculous (my one click installer for wordpress) and uninstalled word press on the main site. data everything. that instantly cleared up all the problems on the other sites. And the control panel showed I was using next to no resources, so that was the answer.

I don’t know what is causing the problem but The work around is to start over. I’m very tired now – I had to stay up most of the night restoring things, today everything is ok, but I will not be upgrading any more themes on any of the sites I have Evolve.

I suggest the theme developer explore a shared hosting linux server which most people use, and try updating with yoast seo and wordfence running to see what is causing the crash. The 20 min wait for double menu’s and stuff is probably dns on the server doesn’t update for a while.

    Good Luck everyone!

I am also having issues with the premium theme evolve+ 2.7.0. I updated it this morning and my site was EXTREMELY slow, like taking 30 seconds to load the main page. I loaded another theme, twenty seventeen, to identify the problem. Twenty seventeen was working with fast load times. Anyone else have slow loading times?

    Hi,

yes, same issue here, with the addition that not even the older version comes back to normal usage.
Tried to go back to lite,- no help either.
Waiting for support for some time now. Not sure what is going, though.

    Hi,

Sorry for getting inconveniences after theme update.
We fetch some issue with the server also, our development team trying to sort out as soon as possible.
    One solution after theme update is, after theme update follow this option may this help;
Theme options -> Styling -> Header & Footer -> Header and Footer pattern
Select any of this patter if you are using other wise just select None image and save.

    We will update you soon.

    Thank you

Slow page loads could be from server error. Take a look at your control panel for your server. If you are maxing out resources that will make your website very slow or even stop showing at all. Take a look at your server error log. You may see one error repeated over and over again, check the date is that when you updated. I am sorry I was so panic about losing my site i didn’t copy the error log, but once i removed wordpress, including data, from the main site, the errors stopped. So there must be a request that can not be resolved.

Also suggest turning off plugins before updating this theme.
