    I like the flexibility of your theme, and put some work into using it. BUT: Since about 2 months ago after an update ( I think) I found I could no longer get into the theme customizer or the widgets. The rest of the theme works fine, and continues to function, but I cannot make any more changes to these features. I get a 500 error when I try to open the link. I did move the index and htaccess files to the root directory after development, so that could have started the problem too I suppose, but I left the wordpress installation intact in its own folder where I had it during development.

    If you can help me get the theme working again I would appreciate your help Thanks!

    Hi,

    First of all, Check your Apache error log file, Check What exact error and where to come in.
    We suggest resetting your plugins or renaming your .htaccess file.

    Thanks. I tried your suggestions. i deactivated all plugins. Then the Customize and widgets features started to work again.

    Reactivating one at a time and testing the customize link each time produced a list of plugins that caused the 500 error:

    PROBLEM PLUGINS:
    Leaflet maps maker,
    wp smush
    site origin widgets bundle
    Page builder by site origin

    This doesn’t quite make sense to me, because I know that I used the two site origin plugins for a long time before the problem showed up. The customize and widget links are now working. But I would at least like to get the site origin widgets back. I just don’t understand what could be going on.

    Hi David

    We check your site and activate both plugins one by one Page builder by site origin and site origin widgets bundle. We Check that Page builder by site origin work properly so we activate it but site origin widgets bundle plugin cause for internal server error of customize but widget work fine.

    We find some things to help a sort out your problem
    One option is to check that you have enough memory allocated. A common cause for these 500 errors is insufficient memory.

    Deleting site origin widgets bundle plugin files and re-downloading it, it’s works may have had a corrupted file for some reason.
