  My sites are running wordpress 5.6, with jquery migrate helper installed. jquery migrate helper downgraded my jquery version to legacy version 1.12.4-wp because of outdated code on my site.

  I updated my staging site to the most current version of evolve Plus (3.0) today, and I am still getting deprecated code notices, even after clearing the cache and the deprecated code log. Component shortcodes is Version 1.0.2

  Here are the error messages being generated by jquery migrate helper:

  2020-12-21 14:10:51 jQuery.fn.load() is deprecated Theme: evolve Plus http://xxxxxxx/wp-content/themes/evolve-plus/assets/js/main.js http://xxxxxx/about-us

  2020-12-21 14:10:51 jQuery.fn.load() is deprecated Plugin: Component Shortcodes http://xxxxxx/wp-content/plugins/component-shortcodes/assets/js/main.min.js http://xxxxxxx/about-us

  How do we fix this?

Thank you – do I need the component shortcodes plugin for the evolve plus theme to work properly, or can I deactivate it? I did not use any of the shortcodes on my sites.

Why would you want to do that? Because of the deprecation message? That is hardly a good enough reason. If you imported some of our ready-made designs, you need this plugin. If not, try to deactivate it. Shouldn’t be a problem.
