When scrolling down, only in Firefox, the menu remains on the top of the page. I wonder why it does not work on the other browsers.
Google Chrome Version 31.0.1650.63 m
FF 25
Opera/9.80 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64) Presto/2.12.388 Version/12.16
Yes.
Also, looks like there is a z-index issue in some cases, as with videos or even images

hm….tried exactly same chrome version 31.0.1650.63 m and the sticky header woks fine….weird…the menu is only overlapping in the IE…will fix that…
Did you test the above page? Did you also check z-index (menu items going below video or image)?
Just tested again with IE 11 and Chrome 31.0.1650.63 m – no sticky header. Same in Opera.
yes I tried in IE 9, same chrome version and Opera 12.16 . I had only problem with IE…it’s overlapping video..as you said
I am having a similar issue with it not working, but now my sticky header does not work in any browser.

Any suggestions?
Try enabling it. Theme options, header options, Sticky Header.
In my case sticky header still only works with FF, tested in other PCs too.
Also, menu overlap occurring with images too:
