    Is it possible to upgrade to v2.9.Alpha and retain theme options, header image, bootstrap slides etc? I managed to export the settings to .json file, but have not been successful at importing them. Detailed instructions on how to export and import settings and any other theme installation steps for a successful upgrade would be extremely helpful.

    have you try the Customizer export/import https://wordpress.org/plugins/customizer-export-import/ plugin to export the theme settings for the theme? Will update docs for sure. Thanks
