    Thanks Evgeny, I managed to work out which bit needed fixing using the “inspect” function, then threw in the following:

    .custom-header {
    height: 150Px;
    }

    It worked, but yours is more elegant!

    Thanks Evgeny. My manually created style.css was nearly right.

    I have now installed the child theme files and everything is back up and running again. Many thanks.

    I have followed the blog and set up the child. What I wasn’t expecting is that when I activated it, all my site images and settings would go back to defaults! Just about replaced them all now . . . except my widgets have all disappeared, apparently because the widgets are “only compatible with evolve-plus”. Arrrrgh!

    I think I might have found instructions here, via a Google search: https://theme4press.com/create-wordpress-child-theme/

    Is this the blog? I didn’t think of looking in the blog for documentation . . .

    Hi Evgeny, I am talking about the “previous post” and “next post” buttons at the bottom of the post. The theme allows me to put those links at the top or the bottom or bottom but does not allow me to disable them.

    Setting categories could be a way of reducing the options. How do you do that?
