Sorry to be so ignorant…I’m REALLY new to this.
I’m still not really sure what the difference is between a “page” and a “post”.
I have been setting up pages, not posts.
On the pages it seems though that you have the option for seeing the share buttons.
    So I’m confused.
I would like to have share buttons like those in the example you sent. Are these only in posts and not pages?

    Thanks so much again.

I knew that jetpack was installed but I thought that Evolve had it’s own share feature. Is this not the case?

Otherwise, for the Evolve header, is there a way to shrink the blank space between the Page Title and the menu below it, as on this page:

    Welcome

    Best,

The margin on the bottom worked great! Thanks.

I guess I don’t understand what is Evolve and what is JetPak.

As far as the share button, is there no simple way with Evolve to add buttons so that people can share my web page?

Otherwise, for the Evolve header, is there a way to shrink the blank space between the Page Title and the menu below it, as on this page:

    Welcome

    ????

    Thanks again,

OK, then the sharing buttons are on the bottom.
On some pages, when I click on the share button, the twitter icon is visible.
On other pages, the twitter icon is hidden behind the footer. For example, http://www.lubanlab.org/research/

Is there a way to fix that so that the icon is in front of the footer?

Also, the share button is not visible on my home page, even though it was activated.

    Welcome

    Is this not possible?

    Thanks again,
    J

Oh, I’m sorry, I was confused between
-Social Media buttons (so someone can see my Twitter page, for example), and
-Sharing Buttons for other people to post a link to my website on their Twitter page.

Is there a way to put Sharing buttons within the header?

    Thanks again,

    That works great!!!
I think I’ll go with this.
Thanks so much for the excellent assistance.

OK. I think I understand what you are asking. Sorry to be so dense!

I think I will try putting the images into the page, rather than into the header. I think this might be easier to control?

Otherwise, is there was a way to shrink the extra white space at the top of the individual pages, underneath the header? Hopefully this will be easy and I can leave you alone after that!

    Thanks again,

    Hi Folks
To make it fit on a horizontal iPhone I made it 150 px, but the black bar underneath the header image is much too thick.
And the header gets cut off if I view it on the full-length of the laptop, or on a larger desktop screen.
Is there no way that the header and the bar with the links can be made to a fixed size on any screen? There are plenty of websites that work this way. For example, look here:
    http://www.genetics-gsa.org/MODSupport/Mod/Support
    This website sizes perfectly….
    Thanks

    That’s much better!!! Thanks.
But now there is the problem that the bottom of the Header is cut off by the black horizontal bar. This now happens both on the laptop at certain screen sizes, and it happens on the iPhone whether the phone is vertical or horizontal.
Again, any help would be much appreciated.

Wow! That worked like magic. Thanks so much.

There is a new problem that results from the resizing on the iPhone:
the blank padding space underneath the header image became much bigger. It takes up about 1/3rd of the screen. On a laptop the sizing looks good, but on the iPhone it is much too big.

Is there a way to fix that?

    Thanks again,
    J
