Thanks, I’ve found something on it online – Facebook just takes the first images it comes across, however you can control which it takes. In case you, or anyone else is interested, here’s the guide I found:

Thanks
Oh great, thanks. I hadn’t added a featured image to my pages cos I thought it would appear on the page itself. It doesn’t seem to though, so this is perfect!
Thanks for your help.
above every search result there’s an image placeholder. Some of them have an image from my page, others just have the placeholder. I’m not sure how the ones with the image got there.
My site is http://nicolaboothconsultancy.co.uk and if you search for ‘web’, you’ll see what I mean – 5 of my pages are showing in the results, but only one of them has an image showing. I’d like to know how to assign images to the other pages please?
Thanks for your help, once again
Ah, ok, sorry. Thanks for all your help
Aaah, so unless overwritten with another widget – the default is the bootstrap one. I’ve now updated Sidebar 1 with a new widget and it’s appearing on the search results page. Brilliant!
One more questions – there is an image that appears with every search result, however there isn’t an actual image there – just a placeholder. Can you tell me how to assign an image to these please?
Thanks very much
Sorry, I hadn’t seen the 2nd page of comments here. Thanks for replying.
You are right, the bootstrap is overwritten when I add widgets – but I need to be able to find the page to add widgets and I don’t know where to find the Search results page.
Please let me know if you don’t understand my request, I’ve asked a few times now on this question and on another, but I’m maybe not using the correct terminology.
I’m not really sure how else to explain it, but I’ll try.
When I use the search bar, the page that comes up showing the results has a sidebar with the bootstrap thing. I would like to either edit this bootstrap or overwrite it with some other widgets. The only way I know of doing this is going to the relevant page and adding a sidebar, then editing it in ‘widgets’ section to add the widgets I want on that particular sidebar.
The problem is that the only pages I can see are the ones I created – I can’t see the page that returns the search results – so I can’t add a sidebar or edit the widgets.
Can you please let me know how I find this page which returns the results of a search?
Thanks v much,
Nicola
What do you mean change it directly? I seem to be going round & round in circles here. Can I do this without a child theme??
I don’t know anything about functions.php so let’s just leave that option.
If there’s an easy way to change the text, could you please give me the steps needed to do so please?
Thanks very much,
I really appreciate your help, but I’m afraid I didn’t really understand much on those links.
What I’d like to do is edit the text — evolve theme by Theme4Press • Powered by WordPress — which is at the bottom of the page
I now have the style.css sheet saved, and the code in it is as I pasted in an earlier message.
If all I have to do is add another few lines of code then I’d really appreciate it if you could tell me exactly what to type. If it’s much more complicated than that, I’ll just have to leave it for now.
Thanks very much,
You’re right, when I add widgets to my sidebars the bootstrap disappears. The problem I have is that I can’t find the search results page, so I can’t edit the sidebars. It doesn’t appear on my list of pages, and I don’t know how else to find it.
Thanks
