    As we can see is you did customization with header template file, check screenshot below:

    Please update alora theme or check manually customization.

    Our theme option only take input in HTML and Script code.
    As you give is php code which is work with theme customization.

    I give you other solution with script code.

    Add this code show current year, it's give same out put as this
