    Maybe this is a wordpress topic rather than a theme related topic, I am not sure:

    When I use the Pages widget in a sidebar, there are very few options to select from (the sort order even does not seem to work properly) and it always shows ALL pages.

    In my Sidebar, I would like to see the newest 5 pages only. Is there an option to control this?

    Sorry, the page widget is part of WordPress, not our theme.
    You can search for a suitable free plugin in WordPress plugins repository. https://wordpress.org/plugins/
