Hey guys – I’m still using and loving Alora, but I’ve run into an issue with the menu on a new site I’m building for a client. I need to see if there’s anything I’m missing to try to keep the menu to one row. I had some custom CSS that I’ve used in the past in there, but it kept making the menu “shake” on page load or start out tall then reduce to the right size. I just need it reasonably narrow (“short”, maybe I should say? lol) in relation to the text of the menu list items, and I’d love it if I wasn’t left with one or two items hanging out on a second row…

I considered using submenus, but my client wants it all on one row. Thanks in advance for any help 🙂

Well, after realizing I had more items to add and the only logical way was to add a submenu, I thought the weird sizing issue would resolve…alas, no change. The menu is stilljerky on page load and when you mouse over it initially… Help??

    Hi,

I just visited your website http://ardatexarkana.com/welcome/
I am not seeing any issue with the menu. Perhaps you have already resolved.

    Thanks!

Sorry I forgot to check back here for a reply. I think I got it resolved, but I’m not sure how…lol. Anyway, everything seems to be working fine now, but can you possibly tell me where I’m going wrong on using a link as a menu item and having it open in a blank page??

I have the site with the newest additions up and running at the real domain name now instead of the test, so it’s

    Hi,

In your WordPress admin -> Appearance -> Menus at the very top of the page, there is a screen options tab. Click it to dropdown. Then check on Link Target.
    See screenshot. http://prntscr.com/7pbnql

Then in your custom link, you will see a “Open link in a new window/tab” checkbox.

    Thanks!
