I had a friend/subscriber tell me the other day that when she viewed our blog posts, as the post was loading the pictures within the posts would continue to resize, getting smaller and smaller, until they were not even visible. I thought she was crazy because on my iphone, desktop pcs, etc, everything is working fine. But then I looked at our blog on my Surface tablet with IE and the same thing happened. When I used Chrome on my Surface tablet it worked just fine. Is this a browser issue on the viewer side, or something I need to do on my end to make our blog viewable in more browsers?

    Thanks,
    Michael

    Hi,

Sorry, I do not have a surface tablet. I only have a Lenovo Miix 2 which is a 8 inch Tablet, currently updated and running windows 10.

I viewed your site using the Microsoft Edge browser. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/microsoft-edge

I do not see the images getting smaller and smaller until it’s not visible. I don’t think this is possible, there is no script doing such image re-sizing.

This is what I am seeing. http://share.pho.to/9g1ji/sj/original
The image posted for an article is of correct size.

This is what I am seeing for your homepage.

You set your homepage to use 3 column layout, the images will be small.
It will be even smaller, if you turn your tablet to portrait mode.

The only way is for you to set your layout probably to single column or two column, this will increase your image size.

    Thanks!

Denzel, thanks for the prompt reply. I thought it sounded crazy too, until I experienced myself. It only occurs when you go to an individual post, and when that post is loading the images within the post continue to get smaller and smaller, until they are tiny little dots and you cannot even see them. I have included a short youtube video to see whats going on.

let me know what you think, any assistance is appreciated.

The images that are not shrinking are an image gallery, not individual images.

    Hi,

I see that your images are loaded from WordPress server i2.wp.com
    For example, http://i2.wp.com/www.onthebanksofsaltcreek.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/52133_FROG_internal3.gif

I think you are using jetpack proton plugin.

Please try to disable it to see if it fixes your issue.

I taken another look using another computer of mine, A Lenovo Horizon running Windows 8 and IE 11, I did not see the “shrinking frog”.

If disabling jetpack plugin does not work for you, I suggest you disable one plugin at a time to eliminate any conflicting plugin.

You can also try disabling any browser addons.

    Thanks!

disabling the Proton plug-in part of Jetpack worked. Thank you. I will seek support from Jetpack to see if that Proton component of there Jetpack plugin is necessary and if there is a way to fix the issue. Thanks again!
