    Hello again,
I’m wondering if there’s a way to have the caption or description from the featured image show when using the blog shortcode. Ideally, hovering would show a caption along with the link and expand buttons.
    Thanks!

    Hi,

Please try using the Theme4Press core plugin shortcode creator.
In the Blog shortcode, you can select grid layout. http://prntscr.com/8ghe49

Please try them out and see if they fit your requirements, if not you can contact us via our services page for customization. https://theme4press.com/theme-customization-service/

    Thanks!

Hi, thanks for responding. I think I phrased my question poorly. I know how to do the grid layout, but I’m wondering if there’s a way for it to show captions of the photos.
Like when you hover over one of the grids you get the link button, the lightbox button, and the name of the post. Is there any way to also show either the caption or description field for the photo that is set as the featured image?
    Thanks!

    Hi,

Sorry, there is no setting to show featured image caption in blog shortcode.
In order to do that, we need to modify codes within the Theme.

Please kindly contact us via our services page https://theme4press.com/theme-customization-service/, if you require this customization.

Sorry, as per our company regulation, I am only allowed to provide customization that only involves Custom CSS, and not modification of theme codes.

    Thanks!

    Okay, thanks.
I’ll see if we want to go that way.
