    I purchased Alora months ago and have used it on several websites. I use it mainly to post content and do low volume sales. I have noticed though that my websites load very lowly, particularly when loaded from a mobile device. I am for the most moderate with the size of my images and don’t have any videos that autoplay, yet sites are slow to load.

    For blog posting and homepage I use both shortcodes and premium/free plugins. Surprisingly, one of these premium plugins seems to actually make one of my sites quite slow (compared to shortcode).

    When running Google Developers page speed I get 52/100 and 39/100 scores, and most of the fixes reference improvements to code or code settings (i.e. Javascript, CSS, HTML actions). I am not a developer hence I am unable to confirm or take action on them.

    I’d appreciate guidance on how address this situation.

    Hi Imran,

    Thank you, just to confirm, should I install both plugins or just one? when I tried to install both one of them crashed and auto-deactivated so I could only install one. Also, for the one that I could install I could not see any noticeable improvement in site display speed.

    Hi,

    You should only install W3 Total Cache.
    There is already a minify option in W3 Total Cache.

    Do not install bwp minify, it’s not a cache plugin, it’s only for minifying your scripts.

    Hi,

    By the way, using a cache plugin will not speed up your site unless your server resources are adequate. If not running a cache plugin can seem to slow things even more. If this is the case, you should contact your web hosting company to upgrade your resources or plan.

    A Virtual Private Hosting plan of probably $20 per month should be enough for a company web site.
