  Hi there,
  Once more after installing a new update (Evolve Plus 2.9.8.6) my homepage is totally disrupted compared to the same update on the staging site.
  I don’t understand why and I cannot fix it.
  My footers disappear, my custom sidebar disappeared too, it was a real mess!!
  Could you please provide ASAP help to fix this issue?

What version were you using before the update? And please send access to your admin area and FTP in a private message.

And BTW, if you have a backup, then it would be better to restore it and then we can see what went wrong without being stressed by the “live” problems

This explains everything. The theme was totally overhauled in version 2.9.1 – we changed the technology behind the scenes completely. It now makes sense for you to try the update again without us (because for you it would be easier to restore everything from backup, should things go wrong). When you update to the newest one, you need to remove the old one (or rename the folder, so it will not be recognized by WordPress) and then upload and activate the newer one. We have a function, that transfers all settings from the database. If things go wrong again, then we will update ourselves and correct problems as needed. Don’t just rewrite the folder – it will cause the trouble you’ve encountered.

Hi. No, roll it back, please. We actually have no support on weekends, so don’t do anything drastic without first coordinating it with me. We will finish the job next week. And follow-ups work, but sometimes land in spam ) Sorry about that.
