I am running WordPress 5.6 with the Evolve Plus theme. In the Front Content Boxes, I tried to change the button link on one of the boxes, and it won’t add the new link. It saves just the words “click here”, but not the link code I entered (Click Here). You can see the example at http://www.msgagolf.org.
I tried Ctrl-F5 several times to clear any cache and it’s still not updating. Thanks for the help!

Hi. We will be happy to assist, this looks like some HTML problem. You need to try and copy the code from another Content Box and make sure that it is correct. If it doesn’t help, please allow access to your wp-admin in a private message.

Hi Emily, sorry I didn’t notice it before, but you are using a very (very) old version of our theme. It isn’t supported for years. You need to upgrade to the current version, this one will just keep falling apart. Once you do, all will work as expected.

Okay, thank you. I’m very confused how to do this, because there are many different instructions when I Google it. I don’t want to lose the customization to my current theme. Can you please provide instructions?

Unfortunately, your theme is too far behind. In general, we do have a mechanism to carry everything over. But it will no longer work very well because we are two years after the switch to a totally new technology behind the theme and you will have to adjust manually some things, maybe quite a few. What you should do is back everything up, that’s before you do anything, to be able to restore if something doesn’t work. Then deactivate and remove the old theme and t4p plugin, install the new theme, and activate it. Do not forget the plugins Component Shortcodes and Widget Box – they should be installed as well.
