    Hello!

Why the background image in a page or in other page widget will not resize with the page?
Did i miss something or this is how it work?

I see around that there are plug in for wordpress, for some dollars, that do it…so the background image will not resize with the page????

I remember it worked with html, asp, and old code….!!
    Sigh 🙁

if you mean in the “theme options\background”,
    i have 2 options:

    Quote:
“Background Image For Outer Areas In Boxed Mode”
    and
    “100% Background Image”

    and

    Quote:
“Background Image For Main Content Area”
    and
    “100% Background Image”

i dont use these options because i need different background image for each page.
So i see some alora examples and i use:

    [fullwidth backgroundcolor=”” backgroundimage=”http://localhost:8080/ciampininew/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/homeGreen2.jpg” backgroundrepeat=”no-repeat” backgroundposition=”center center” backgroundattachment=”” bordersize=”0px” bordercolor=”” paddingTop=”50px” paddingBottom=”50px”]

    [/fullwidth]

but i have to set the paddingTop and paddingBottom option to adjust the image up and down and the image do not resize well when i resize the page!!
I’m sorry but i’m still waiting for my space to put the test site online…

    suggestions?
    thanks 🙂

you could try in Theme Options -> Background and set there same image for both Background Image For Outer Areas In Boxed Mode and Background Image For Main Content Area and set both 100% Background Image

that’s possible. when you edit a page, scroll down, and there is an option to choose custom background for the page.

i make some try but its difficult for me to tell you all i have in my mind,
cause my english is not so good, so sorry!!

    I’ll try..!

    1) i make a simple page, a center logo and i have the fixed footer with copyright and so on.
    I set

    “Page options”:
    – display header: no
    – Page: Full Width Yes

    Background options:
    Layout: default

in “Following options only work in boxed mode” nothing

in “Following options work in boxed and wide mode” i set:
Background Image for Main Content Area: “my image”
    100% Background Image = yes
    Background Repeat = tile

and all the othe options defaults

if i preview the page i dont see the image, only blank background and the footer
    BUT if i set this:

    Quote:
    <div style=”text-align: center; color: #c9b57d; font-size: 18px; height: 800px”>
    </div>

    i see the background image!
image is resizable but have a fixed heigt and if i resize the page,
for example half of the originale page, the image resize correctly but “i can scroll down and up”!!
I mean ALL i have in the page, the footer, logo and text scroll over the image and the background image looks like flashes just a little…!

there is a way to make all resize, background, text over, image, all, without having them scolling over the background image?
(hope you understand what i mean..sorry for the english!!)
    thanks

ps: I also tried also on more complex pages and i see that i can have wide and boxed background!
but this is another story i’ll try to explain later if you have time and patience!!

    xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
    xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
    xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
