I’m experiencing the same issue that another was using with comment authors custom avatar not showing in the header. Could you please share what you had to do to fix it? Here’s the other support topic.

Here’s the page on my forum I’m having the issue on. Comments Page

Also, on the same page I’m using the evolve recent blog activity tab widget and the Comments tab there is not pulling back the name of the author either so the default avatar is displaying instead. Is there a similar fix for that?

Try to download the themes package again and let me know if it works fine

Updating the package did fix the comment avatar display issue.

It did not fix the issue in the blog widget where it’s calling a number instead of the author for the displayed avatar on comments tab.

    Thanks

I’ve attached a screen shot from the sidebar of my homepage http://briarcraft.net

    Tabs Widget in Sidebar

It shows the Evolve Tabs Widget on the comment tab with a default avatar picture. It should actually be the same avatar picture as shown above in the screenshot. I’m still learning my way around, but if I’m reading the html correctly, it’s pulling back the avatar for user 375 when it should be returning nutmegan as the user. I’m sure there’s an easy tweak, but I don’t know enough to find the source of the problem and fix it.

hm…for me it works fine as it uses default wp avatar function get_avatar($comment, '50')

Try using one of the WP default (generated) avatars. It works fine when I use a loaded avatar, but not on generated ones.

I think the new avatars will appear once the commenters add new comments
