Hi there!
For a while now (several weeks, at least since last WordPress update to 5.7) the Evolve Plus theme causes strange problems on my website backend. When I want to change items of my menus or in widget/custom sidebar areas, everything takes extremely long, even writing a letter or word in a seach field (for adding posts or pages to the menu) or to change the name of menu items takes at least 10 seconds (sometimes longer) until said letter or word shows up in the search field. Most of the time the browser freezes for a while (and asks me if I want wo wait or leave the site) before letting me write or change anything. This occurs only in the menu and widget or custom sidebar areas (so far at least).
I installed Health Check plugin and switchead to a standard theme (Twentytwenty) and as soon as I did that the problem was solved. Which means Evolve Plus seems to cause these problems. It’s merely impossible to change menu or widget items, because every letter/word takes so much time to show up and another bunch so seconds (10 to 15) until a search result is found (for example if I search for e specific page to add to the menu). My main menu also takes about a minute to load in the backend when I switch to it to work on it.On the frontend there are no problems of that kind.
Cache and cookies in my browser are not the cause of the problem, I already checked that. Also my installed plugins don’t seem to cause the problem according to Health Check. Only a change to a standard theme makes the problem go away immediately, which is of course no solution to my problem, because I like working with Evolve Plus very much.
