Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class Contact_Info_Widget in /home/WEBSITENAME/public_html/ReseckExcavation.com/wp-content/themes/alora/widgets/contact_info.php on line 117
The previous resolution involved deactivating Jetpack. This is not an option for my site.
Help!
Yes, but the resolution is not using Jetpack. I need Jetpack for this site. I need another solution please & thank you. I really like the Evolve theme, it’s a huge site, and I don’t want to have to do it over again. Not to mention I lost a lot of information when the Jetpack widgets disappeared.
This is the reply I received from Jetpack:
Thanks for that information, based on https://theme4press.com/support/topic/fatal-error-cannot-redeclare-class-contact_info_widget-in/#post-15677 it sounds like they’re going to fix this. Basically the problem is that they’re using a class name that’s already declared in Jetpack and so that’s causing problems. Once they rename that in their code and issue an update, this error should go away.
If this is correct when will you have an update to the theme?
Where do I find the file to open:
open file library/functions/widgets/contact_info.php, change this string Contact_Info_Widget (3x) , to theme_Contact_Info_Widget
it’s in the theme’s folder evolve-plus/library/functions/widgets/contact_info.php
we are fixing some bugs yet….it will be available very soon
Where do I find the theme’s folder. I looked in the editor on the dashboard and I don’t see it.
Obviously anxiously awaiting the update and feeling very stupid.
please contact us here for further assistance https://theme4press.com/send-us-an-email/
I think I finally figured it out and made the revisions as suggested above. I have to redo all the jetpack widgets and there are a lot for this site so I’ll let you know.
Thanks for your patience. My only excuse for my repeated denseness is a head cold. K
Not sure what I did but now I get this message:
Fatal error: Class ‘theme_Contact_Info_Widget’ not found in /home/content/t/o/m/tomwolf2/html/wp-includes/widgets.php on line 560
I cannot access WordPress dashboard! EeeeeK! Help! Karen
