Hi, several of my sites use evolve plus, and all of them have problems especially when editing posts or blogs. First I thought, the problem was caused by a plugin or by some incompatibilities by several plugins (especially with the new Gutenberg framework), but I now think, it’s evolve Theme. Why: because I recently cam across the “Health Check & Troubleshooting” plugin, which allows to activate/deactivate plugins and themes in a test mode. And there I can reproduce the problem. Please help me with my problem!

Yes, I see that you do not want to point fingers – but now there are tens of thousands of websites powered by Evolve Plus, and none of them has the problems you experience. So when we go and check the situation and we see that the required files aren’t being loaded because of errors – it is not a theme issue. I’m not saying that there isn’t a theme issue, things happen – but the hosting does have something to do with at least some of the problems. Browser – you can use any browser you like, it doesn’t matter. As for the PHP version – the theme should perform fine with 7.4. But the big question is – did it help? Switching to PHP 7.2?

    Hi,

Browser: chrome seems to have difficulty resolving caching sometimes. Firefox seems better.

PHP: with 7.2 everything works, both 7.3 and 7.4 didn’t work.

Firewall and hosting: I feel like some kind of punching bag. Hosting days, theme is the problem, theme says hosting is the problem … I need a lasting solution! And I understand hosting quite well, that the massive have problems with the theme architecture because of calls because of the API keys for updating. Could you maybe have a look again in debug mode, whether the errors messages still occur under 7.2?

    Thanks indeed for your help!!!

Hi. I’ve deleted your other thread – it has nothing to do with the theme, so it has no place on the forum. I receive notifications every time someone posts to the forum, so the functionality is fine. As for this issue – we will have a look again. Will be solved one way or the other.
