    Hi there!
    I want to have visitors to my site be able to click on a menu item on the top menu bar, and have the page open in a new tab. Could you please let me know the best way to do this?

    sure, Appearance -> Menus -> Add an Item to a menu, once you add it, you can check there Open link in a new window/tab
