    yes, if you use Custom Menu item in the Appearance

    I can’t see the custom menu option under Appearance -> Menus
    I have as default:

    Pages, Links, Categories and Slide Groups. When I check screen options there are post, tags and link target and others but no custom menu?

    the menus page is default by wordpress. it must be there if you have the latest version of wordpress

    I have the menu page, the only thing that I can customise is the link? I can add my telephone number onto the menu and not provide a link ie http:// address

    in the URL field you can insert # and for the Link Text the phone number. the number will be click-able but it will point nowhere
