    Is there a single column template? There are certain pages that I want single column, and some with two columns. I cannot find the option to make a single column. Even when I set sidebar to blank. Please let me know if its possible.

    The page I’d like one column is the Home Page, and my Contact Us page.

    Is there a way to make the footer a different color background than the header.

    sure you can set it in the edit page mode, scroll down and there is option to select the full width. The footer color you can change for example in the Custom CSS section:
