    Hi Roman,

I think the problem here is that WordPress is looking to update the theme based on the name evolve that is available as a free download from the wordpress portal (though it is only the ‘lite’ version).

Is there a problem with my configuration, or do I need to update something? Or is there a snippet of code that could be used for the theme to override the update message? Either that, or the WordPress free version could actually be named Evolve Lite to prevent confusion between the two versions when wordpress does it’s update checks – just an idea.

I’m simply just looking for a solution to get rid of the update message, as clearly you state that any updates will be notified on your website.

I had the same problem, and this is what wordpress says in the manage themes area:-

    Broken Themes

The following themes are installed but incomplete. Themes must have a stylesheet and a template.

    Name Description

    evolve Stylesheet is missing.

    ###edit

I have managed to upload the theme using filezilla through the binary transfer setting you mentioned earlier in the post.

I am now however getting an update notification through wordpress that I need to update the theme from version 1.0.0 to 2.9.2 – is this picking up the evolve lite theme from wordpress.org? I don’t want to update it if it is wrong to do so. Could you please advise.

    Thanks
