    I did some bad coding:

    /* TODO */
    echo '

    ';
    if (get_the_title()) {
    the_title();
    }
    echo '

    ';
    /* END TODO */

    Now it works for authors.

    I also put it into archives.php. Quick and dirty solution – but it works now.

    I have a one column design.

    Maybe you could tell me in which file(s) the archive/categorie/author’s articles pages are generated. The quellcode looks like that the title is left out completely.

    Sorry, this goes much too far.

    Our website isn’t political correct so I have to be very careful to whom I give such account details. The login data was a big step to me. But the ftp-data is too much. There are some different domains on the account. I will be in trouble if I give the access data away.

    I also do not know why you couldn’t log in with the given details.

    So I have to live with the problems. Thanks for your efforts.

    My problem with the “mega menu” mentioned in the private reply has gone.

    I saw that you need to have a sub link under the main category to get it done. Now I just ask myself how to get the main menu to span the whole page from left to right. But I will have a look on that topic.
