    the dates for blog posts can be set in Theme Options -> Blog -> Date Format

    you can set this in Theme Options -> General , Page Content Top Padding and Page Content Bottom Padding . this can be also set per a post/page

    you need to edit the page when you want to add it and choose there the slider as per instructions here http://theme4press.com/alora-documentation/setting-up-the-sliders/
