    two easy options:

    set the header to a dark color or an image

    OR

    set the blog title to a dark color in Typography..

    super easy ;), everything possible through the Theme Options

    there is no need to add !important rule if you exactly copy the used CSS from the style.css file and you just modify its value for the Custom CSS field
