    Hi,

    We need to update our Theme for the website. We have Evolve Plus.

    When we try and update the theme via the Theme4Press site, it seems to want us to pay for this again, even though we have already purchased Evolve + previously (in 2017).We can’t find the option to update this in our WP Admin dashboard anymore – it was there a few days ago.

    Is the update free for current customers, or do we have to buy it again? When I click Buy Now, it brings me to a Registration page that displays a duplicated form 4 times and lots of random code.

    Also our parallax slider is gone?? Please assist – why has this update erased all of this? We can’t even find the parallax slider to update it anymore.

    Hi. First, if the changes are so extensive, you should restore you website from backup. The current version doesn’t use Redux, and although it most cases it should pick up all the settings, your current version is very old and probably extensively customised. So the best way would be to restore, create a testing environment and first make sure the update works there, only then try to update the live version again.

    Hi – they aren’t so extensive that we want to restore. Its mostly just a lot of small formatting stuff we have to redo.

    Our main concern is the sliders that are not functioning properly. I found the parallax slider option, enabled it and added a slide but it still doesn’t show up on our front page.

    Also have the front page content boxes been taken off this new update?

    Is there still an option to pay for customization from your team for items we may need assistance with? We used this sometimes when creating the site in 2017. I didn’t think we have done that much custom work, but it was two years ago so I dont really remember honestly.

    As an update – I got the parallax slider working but it was hidden behind the Theme4Press slider which I have removed temporarily. Is it possible to have the Theme4Press slider with the parallax slider underneath? We had it this way before but its possible your team customized it for us.

    Sorry, can you explain the question again? you’ve removed our slider because you prefer the parallax slider, why would you need both? Thanks.

    Hi,

    We use them for different purposes – we don’t prefer one over the other. We use the Theme4Press slider to display five slides that did not change. They each contained one image and linked to a page on our site – more of an intro/marketing thing. This slider appeared directly below the header/menu bar.

    Parallax we use to showcase our latest reports. We update this by replacing a slide when we have a new report and usually have around 5 slides at once. This slider was previously directly underneath the Theme4Press slider on our home page before we updated the theme. Now it seems they overlap so I removed the Theme4Press one for the moment just so we could at least have a functioning and visible parallax slider for the time being.

    It went:
    Header/Menu
    Theme4Press slider
    Parallax slider
    Content boxes
    Text content
    Footer

    Is it possible someone could assist us with achieving this same format?

    Hi – we have just fixed the issue, we are using the bootstrap slider now which lets us reorder the content. Thank you for your help and patience!
