    HI Roman,
Do I understand that you are not going to update the old Evolve PLUS anymore? What will happen if I still use it after 01/01/19?
Do I also understand that, if I want to upgrade my websites to Evolve + Alpha, that I need first to delete the actual template (old Evolve + version 2.8.3) and then upload the new one?

Last time I did this update on one of my sites (Bergeras.com/staging, thanks god it was the development site), I had many many bugs. I am afraid now to do it on my other sites. Especially the ones for which I used the Corporate homepage.

Can you please advise the best way to proceed?
    Thank you
    Kind regards
    Françoise

    Hello Françoise,

evolve+ based on Redux available in the downloads section will not be available for downloads nor developed anymore. Now we focus on the version based on the Kirki framework which is more stable, has better coding and is faster. Yes, you need to backup your current theme version, remove it and upload new one. If something gets wrong, we are here to help 😉

A few questions then about testing the version developed with Kirki:
    1) Should we also remove the Redux Framework when testing or might it be used by some other plugin?
    2) Is it only used when developing themes, for instance?
    3) If we do leave it when testing your Evolve+ with Kirki will it cause any issues?
    4) If we have custom css in the current Evolve+ section of Additional CSS, will it stay there?

1 – can be completely removed, not required anymore for full theme functionality
    2 – yes, it is
    3 – it will not
4 – if you saved the Custom CSS in the theme options then you need to copy it in the Additional CSS section available under customize of the evolve based on Kirki
