Hi, I just received a mail, that there is an update for evolve plus (2.9.1) available for download. Why isn`t it possible to update it within the Word Press theme manager? thx Jesco

    Hello Jesco Jakob,

we used to have auto updates in the past, but it was totally overloading the server and caused many issues so it made our server inaccessible many times. We plan to add this feature in the future once we have a better server performance and improved update API. Thanks for your understanding

@Roman: Seriously? I mean, your business is selling WordPress themes over the internet. The basic requirement for this kind of business is a performant server, right? Strange, isn`t it?

Jesco Jakob, sorry for any troubles but at this moment we are not able to provide the auto update feature as for the mentioned reasons. Auto updating is really high overloading servers and we cannot handle it at this moment. The API checks the login for thousands of users in a couple of seconds and it will totally crash the website service. Hope you understand. Our server has great performance for current stage, it loads perfectly fast 😉

So how do we do save updates ? Delete Evolve Plus 2.9.1 and install 2.9.2 ? Doesnzt that break settings ?

I would recommend to backup the database with option as described in our docs in the update section https://theme4press.com/guide/docs/theme-installation-update/#updating-theme , then remove the theme and upload new one. Settings are saved in the database. Not in the folders 😉

Tried to update by switching to another theme , deleting old one and install new one, now my webpage is disappeared completely, even after reloading the SQL DB from a day before . Any hints whats wrong?
