First of all, website don’t change by itself.
Your UpdraftPlus plugin is capable of back up and restore.
I have never used this plugin, but you can check if it has an automatic restore setting, disable it.
Disable and remove any plugin that you suspect is causing you issue.
You mention that you are unable to let changes update on your front end.
If you have a cache plugin such as W3 Total Cache or WP Super Cache, you will need to purge the cache content, then clear your browser history in order to allow latest content to update on your front end.
If you are still unable to find what’s causing this issue, you can disable one plugin at a time, to find out which plugin is causing this issue.

Use the following in Theme Options -> Custom CSS
#nav ul li a:hover {
background: #fff none repeat scroll 0 0 !important;
}
To disable the rolling text, go to Theme Options -> Advanced
Find the setting -> Enable Animate.css plugin support
Uncheck and Save Changes.

If you want to change the sidebar position, you can edit page.
scroll down and find the setting -> Page: Sidebar Position
select the position that you want.

If you are using a static page.
Use the following instructions.
Login to your WordPress admin.
Go to your website homepage.
On your admin toolbar, click on Edit Page.
Scroll down and find Slider Options.
Find the setting Slider type -> Select Bootstrap slider.
Go to Appearance -> Theme Options -> Bootstrap Slider
to setup your slides.
If you are using a static homepage.
Go to Appearance -> Theme Options -> Bootstrap Slider -> General
Find the setting -> Bootstrap Slider placement
Set it to Manually select in Post/Page
If you are not using a static homepage.
Go to Appearance -> Theme Options -> Bootstrap Slider -> General
Find the setting -> Bootstrap Slider placement
Set it to Homepage only
