Chuck, the evolve Plus in your account marked as v2.9.alpha is the latest stable version based on Kirki and it works just fine. This week I will try to release another stable version. The child theme is supposed to work with this version, it works without any issues. Shortcodes you can use to add some extra components to your website, preview them here https://demo.theme4press.com/evolve/shortcodes/. Slider Revolution is a premium slider plugin which you can use in the theme to create professional slides, preview it here https://demo.theme4press.com/evolve/slider-revolution/ . it is safe to use the alpha version, but in case any gets wrong when converting, please do a backup of your current theme, settings, before you update always https://theme4press.com/guide/docs/theme-installation-update/#updating-theme

1 – can be completely removed, not required anymore for full theme functionality
    2 – yes, it is
    3 – it will not
4 – if you saved the Custom CSS in the theme options then you need to copy it in the Additional CSS section available under customize of the evolve based on Kirki

    Hello Françoise,

evolve+ based on Redux available in the downloads section will not be available for downloads nor developed anymore. Now we focus on the version based on the Kirki framework which is more stable, has better coding and is faster. Yes, you need to backup your current theme version, remove it and upload new one. If something gets wrong, we are here to help 😉

    Hello Gérald,

we don’t have any guide for this as the alora is based on different framework and has different features. I would recommend to make a visual comparison and make the the changes in the evolve Plus theme based on it. You can check the evolve free version available for download as well as the docs which can help you to set the theme as per your needs. For that transfer we provide discount now with coupon code SAVE20

    Hello Rekily,

as we include the sliders as bundled we cannot provide the activation codes to 3rd parties. If you would like an activation code, you will need to buy the slider(s) from the authors. Anyway, sliders work just fine even without the activation 😉

    Hello Sergio,

have you set the Wide layout in the Customize -> General ? Sorry but there is no script or docs to migrate from alora to evolve plus as they are different themes based on different frameworks
