    Hello

The google map was appearing on the following page and now there is just a blank space? I would like the map to show.
    http://www.sosdap.org/about-us/how-to-find-us-2/

I have tried adding the map shortcode again, and also turning off an don again the google maps scripts on contact settings, but no joy.

    Any advice please? Thank you.

    Hello DJE,

I just checked the website and it’s using an older theme version which is not implementing the Google Maps Api Key which is required for the map to working. Would be possible if u back up the version and update to the new one?

    Hi Roman,

I have some custom code in the site for things like ‘Quick Exit’ button that can be seen on the sit which has been injected into the header. Will this be lost with an update?

Also can you point me to a guide to show me how to do the update please?

    Thank you.

You might use the child theme available in your account for download, then you will not lose the custom code as the child theme always use the custom code. Please check our docs for the update process as well https://theme4press.com/guide/docs/theme-installation-update/#updating-theme

Hello Roman, I created the child theme according to the Theme4Press blog post here https://theme4press.com/create-wordpress-child-theme/

I then performed the update process as shown here via the WP control panel https://theme4press.com/guide/docs/theme-installation-update/#updating-theme

The whole site broke. So I then deleted the child theme, and uploaded the child theme provided in my account for download and the website is still broken.

Please help, not sure what to do? I do have a backup via updraft on the server before I started all of this.

    Thank you

I have just restored from back up the site so that it’s online. Still have the problem with the map not showing? Any ideas how I can update without breaking the site please? Thank you.

I would need to see the custom code you used in the original files now. If it requires a lot of coding I cannot guarantee I might code it for you, as we provide technical support only, not theme customizations. Please provide wp admin details in Private reply and I will have a look. Thank you very much

    Hi Roman

I downloaded the new evolve+ theme from my account area on theme4press and then installed it, before but that didn’t help, so then restored from back up, which will have brought back in the previous version? Was that correct? What should I do? Thanks for you help.
