    Hi,

    We have a hosted WordPress site with GoDaddy and had submitted a ticket for them to update our Evolve theme to solve the issues we’ve had since the WP update.

    When they did, they said it seemed to have been customized and all that broke so they reverted. Here are the screenshots they sent – the one post update doesn’t even look like the same theme, it looks like everything would break.

    Would this issue be fixed if I 1) deactivate the Theme4Press core plugin (I have now done so) and 2) Activate the Component Shortcode plugin?

    Any help would be appreciated, we cannot properly use our site as it is and this is causing major issues for us.

    Hi – Thank you!

    Yep its up and looks exactly like it used to with the updated theme. I was still the customizer still showing only widgets, but cleared the cache in the site and browser and we’re good.

    One item is still displaying oddly – in our “Data Portals” page we had Theme4Press content boxes via short code which now display as code. Do we just need to recreate these with more current shortcodes?

    Hi,

    I encountered this same issue again when manually updating to 2.9.9.9. When I activate the theme the website looks nothing like the current site, it doesn’t even look like the evolve theme.

    I am confused as to why this keeps occurring – is there something we can fix so the updates work?

    I know you assisted me previously and am hoping you can again.

    Hi. Why do you need to activate the theme? You just unzip over the old one, that’s the way you should do it (with cPanel or ssh). What version was updated to 2.9.9.9?
