Hello everybody. New WordPress is upon us, and it breaks a lot of plugins and themes across the internet. Despite our efforts, it just might cause problems on your websites, which run Evolve Plus. IT IS RARE and usually won’t happen. We are working on fixes for these rare cases right now. We will be ready to roll them out today or tomorrow at the latest.

    Thank you for your patience.

For what its worth, I too have severe problems since upgrading to WP 5.6 in as much as I cannot use the Gutenberg sditor, its just a white page with the following error report:
The editor has encountered an unexpected error.
    Attempt Recovery
    Copy Post Text
    Copy Error

Visiting: https://reactjs.org/ (https://reactjs.org/docs/error-decoder.html?invariant=130&args%5B%5D=undefined&args%5B%5D=) provides the full error as: ‘Element type is invalid: expected a string (for built-in components) or a class/function (for composite components) but got: undefined.’

Also Another odd quirk: when clicking on ‘Quick Edit’ in the dashboard list of pages, instead of going to Quick Edit the page disappears until the listing is refreshed.

I hope this might help resolve the problem

    Some notes:
After having disabled all plugins, cleared the cache (CTRL+f5) and ensured my php version is 7.3 the problem still persists. Changing the theme to 2020 allows the Gutenberg editor to work as it should.

I can provide you with login details if you wish

Could you please give me access to your admin area? But not here, send it to [email protected]. I might require FTP as well. Thanks.

I am also having the same problems. I reverted to version 2.5.1 that i found in an old folder, which seems to be compatible though a little buggy getting menu 3d to work, i gave up because the rest looks ok.

    Problems
    ______________________________

    Cannot drag and drop menu.
Cannot preview edit home page. (works in gutenberg, but not classic)
Customize menu only showing widget tab.

I disabled all plugins and the issue remained.

I edit my sites daily so please fix this or let us know if we should go back to a previous version.

    Thanks.

Not to pile on, but I’m seeing similar problems. When I click on “appearance -> customize”, the only option (thing) on the screen that loads is “widgets”.

Just to give a clarification (and I realize that it will sound a bit strange) – issues such as the one described by Terry can be easily fixed – just clear the cache SEVERAL TIMES. CTRL+F5 on Windows, CMD+SHIFT+R on a Mac, but not once, more) After updating to WordPress 5.6 on one of our test installations, I’ve had the same problem with Customizer, only widgets were shown. After clearing the cache 5 times or so, everything came back to normal. That happened on Chrome. Please try it, especially you, Terry. Let me know how it works out. And I’m still waiting for somebody to send me access, so I can investigate the problems – we aren’t able to recreate them yet. Send the access to [email protected], DO NOT give it here in the thread. Thanks!

You’re right – that fixed it. I tried another browser first, and it worked great, so I CTRL F5 three times and I’m back to good.

    Thank you.
