    Hi,

I’m Plus user and trying to build the corporate web site, and I’m kind of getting stuck with Custom Front Page Builder.

My site has multiple sections vertically but Custom Front Page Builder provides only one “Content Boxes”. If you want to use Content Boxes multiple times, only you can do is using “Cusom Content” instead?

I thought the Plus version will provide multiple content boxes so the Plus features got excited me before purchasing it. But if I have to build major part of the top page with Custom Content that’s bit disappointed.

    Any advice or correction appreciated.

    Thanks.

    Hello Goody,

you can use the content boxes shortcode which let’s you add as many content boxes as you need https://theme4press.com/guide/docs/shortcodes/content-boxes/. Content boxes on the front page builder also let you add as many content boxes as you need, however only in one section.

    Hello Roman,

    Thanks for the reply.

I confirmed the content-box shortcord explanation. You mean if you want multi content boxes then use shortcode in Home Page instead of using Front Page Builder, right? Okay I’ll try them. Big help. Thank you.

    One more question.

I want to put excerpted blog posts in the last part of the main contents section of top page (just above footer). Not slider. Simply 3 column layout like top of blog page.

It would be appreciated if you let me know the option.

    Thanks.

For that you could use the front page builder and move the Blog page section on the bottom, as shown in the Docs https://theme4press.com/guide/docs/custom-front-page-builder/#content-area it’s the Blog/Page Content element and for the required layout please visit Customize -> Blog -> General https://theme4press.com/guide/docs/setting-up-the-blog/#blog-general where you can set the layout as you wish

    That changes nothing for me.

I also did as the manual says about Blog. “Settings Reading Front page displays A static page and set that page as your Posts page.”

That ended up showing only blog posts in top page and the sections that I made in the front page builder are all missing. No surprises.

What I want to know is the front page builder, Home page with shortcode in Pages and excerpted Blog posts, how to display these 3
elements on the top page at the same time.

How can I put excerpted blog posts into top page by using custom content element??

It doesn’t seem it is capable of using any shortcodes or php like wp templete tags.

I started to think that it’s easier for me if I build the site with front-page.php from scratch so that I can get what I want instead of using Evolve plus.

Are you meaning that you are going to implement new shortcode what I want? If so that’s really apreciated. Gladly I’ll wait.

As promised, I prepared the shortcode. Please re-download the theme and shortcodes plugin. You can learn about the new shortcode parameters right here https://theme4press.com/guide/docs/shortcodes/blog/ . Please let me know if it’s what you were looking for and if it works as you needed. Thanks.
