we used to have auto updates in the past, but it was totally overloading the server and caused many issues so it made our server inaccessible many times. We plan to add this feature in the future once we have a better server performance and improved update API. Thanks for your understanding
Just updated the theme’s package with new shortcodes. Please check also the updated documentation for those shortcodes. Let me know how it goes 😉
New stable version of evolve Plus v2.9.1 is now available for download. Added 4 new shortcodes – Content Boxes, Google Maps, Columns and Testimonials. All these shortcodes have now updated codes and their documentation.
Other Sites item is active because as you pointed it’s a custom link which point to the home URL and when the home URL is active, it will also add the :active state to that custom link too. Try to add an other custom link to that menu item, for example # . About the Apple device issues, I will need to investigate more 😉
This would be possible with the Revolution or Layer Slider which you can download in your account. Their documentation you can find on the respective premium author website.

have you try to edit the layout per page/post edit when you scroll down the bottom?
For the menu hover background color please use something like in Additional CSS:
.navbar-nav li:hover {
background: red;
}about the customize issue, it’s quite hard to determine the problem, as on my Win 10 and Firefox it shows just fine. Have no chance to test on an Apple device :(. Isn’t that a cache issue?
