When the theme is installed, it created a folder /evolve-plus/ In your case, the theme is in a folder evolveplus, without the dash. I can’t say at this point how it happened. The problem is, that you cannot update the theme in a usual way, you need to replace the contents of your /evolveplus/ folder with the /evolve-plus/ contents you can download from our website. If you would like to set things right, I would suggest the following: 1. Back up everything, including files and database. 2. Export Customizer settings with a plugin, for example, this one: https://wordpress.org/plugins/customizer-export-import/ 3. Delete your Evolve Plus theme, download a new one from our website, install it, and import settings. Whatever went sideways, if anything – correct it manually. Then the folder problem should be solved.

Hi. Why do you need to activate the theme? You just unzip over the old one, that’s the way you should do it (with cPanel or ssh). What version was updated to 2.9.9.9?

That’s probably because you didn’t have to just remove it, you needed to remove theme4press core plugin as well, and redux. Because they are old and incompatible. If you didn’t remove them after the update, then please do it now, especially the t4p core.
